There are books stacked everywhere, and this might help me to get organised. I live in two different places on opposite sides of the globe and I honestly cannot remember what books are where - I'm sure I have duplicates and triplicates. . . .I collect sporadically, mostly US hard boiled detective novels, and some odd things that I remember fondly from childhood (remember "Mr Popper's Penguins?").

I work in an industry that regularly mangles the English language beyond all recognition. If one more person on a conference call tells me to "push the envelope," "think outside the box," or "reach out" to someone, I shall organise a small but vicious revolt to take back our language . . .
