Merry October, everyone! What are you reading this month? I'm in the middle of Beth O'Leary's latest, The Wake-Up Call, and I'm really liking it so far! Please share what you're reading below.

I'm in the middle of H.M.S. Surprise (Aubrey/Maturin #3; by Patrick O'Brian);
early days into Master of Senate (The Years of Lyndon Johnson; by Robert A. Caro; narrated by Grover Gardner) and;
just started reading and listening to The City & The City (by China Miéville).

Happy October, everyone! I am reading The Whisper on the Night Wind by Adam Shoalts, a non-fiction account of his research into a legendary monster in the wilds of Labrador. I have also started Josephine Baker's Last Dance by Sherry Jones, a novel about the life of dancer Josephine Baker.

I just picked up Amazing Grace Adams by Fran Littlewood from the library and will be starting that soon. I have Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer which is about half done and needs to be finished before book club on Wed (not likely as I'm not enjoying it). My ebook is The Solace of Open Spaces by Gretel Ehrlich, and my audio book is The Whole Town's Talking by Fannie Flagg. It also looks like The River We Remember by William Kent Krueger is "in transit" in the library system so I should be getting that in a couple of days.

>4 DeltaQueen50: - I picked up Josephine Baker's Last Dance recently and will be looking to see how you like it.

I'm reading Flowers for the Judge by Margery Allingham. I've probably read it before, but don't remember it.

>8 rabbitprincess: Hi RP! I enjoyed The Last Devil to Die very much, probably not just because of the group’s usual antics, but also the very emotional plot development involving one of the characters. I can certainly understand both sides of that particular issue.

I’m reading The Madness of Crowds because I couldn’t help myself after finishing All The Devils are Here.
