I adore the iconic tale of young love failed by family, friends, and fate. The book is an outstanding version with modern translation of some olde English passages, plus supplemental resources including a character map, plot sequence chart, and comprehension questions. It's a classic of Shakespeare's prowess as a storyteller, compelling characters in compelling circumstances. I recommend the selection for high school readers and beyond, because of the need to understand the depths of passion. ( )
