This performance by Derek Jacobi is the best Hamlet I've ever seen or heard on stage or screen or audio. It is done more or less 'straight' Elizabethan but is not over-costume-drama-ed. And Jacobi does justice to the verse as verse while remaining comprehensible-- it sounds as if the words are just occurring to him. no reviews | add a review
