Disambiguation notice
Charles Hamilton to the contrary notwithstanding, The Second Maiden's Tragedy (a.k.a. The Lady's Tragedy) is not to be identified with the lost play Cardenio, nor is it by Shakespeare. It has been clearly demonstrated to be by Thomas Middleton and is now included in the Oxford edition of his works.
